Rev. Dr. Samantha McManus holds an educational doctorate (Ed.D.). The title “Dr.” does not indicate a medical degree. HHP, Board Certified AADP and ministerial credentials are not presented as state healthcare licensure.
Pastoral counseling is not psychotherapy
Pastoral and ministerial counseling addresses spiritual questions, meaning, values and personal reflection. It is spiritual and ministerial in nature and is not presented as licensed mental-health treatment.
